Adria Airways surely isn't the only national European airline looking further than its borders:
airBaltic in summer 2016 season is adding service between Switzerland and Germany, offering nonstop flight on Zurich – Heringsdorf route. This flight will operate on Saturdays, starting 14MAY16, with Dash8-Q400 aircraft.

It seems to be some kind of a trend, moreover with Montenegro Airlines planning on starting services in B&H :)

ADRIA Airways in summer 2016 season further expands Polish link from Munich, with the flights to the Northeastern Polish city of Szczytno. From 17JUN16, the airline operates Munich – Szczytno route 3 times a week, with CRJ200/700/900, pending on operational period.

JP134 MUC0815 – 0950SZY CR9 135
JP135 SZY1015 – 1155MUC CR9 135

ADRIA will be the second carrier offering scheduled service at Szczytno. Sprint Air currently offers flights to Krakow and Berlin Tegel 3 weekly each with Saab 340.

Recently, a frequent business flyer, online known as 'knightofmalta', has travelled from Tirana to Munich, with Adria Airways. Under here, one can read his conclusions. For a more detailed report, this is his blog post.

Image
Date: 20 April 2016.
Departure: 18:55.
Arrival: 20:55.
Flight time: 2 hours.
Seat: 8A.

Conclusion
All in all I though, Adria Airways were not that bad at all. True, buy on board is never cool, but the quality of the food available was good and came at a decent price. The aircraft was comfortable enough, although much of that had to do with the fact that is was mostly empty. On a longer or full flight I am not sure how comfortable the experience would be.

40 persons on a 140+ seat aircraft... That's pretty terrible to say the least (less than 30% LF). I hope this isn't a general sight on Adria's flight.
