Adria Airways is the national airline of Slovenia. It was founded in 1961 as Inex-Adria Airways. The airline's main hub is at Ljubljana Airport, with secondary hubs in Pristina, Tirana and Łódź. Adria Airways is a Star Alliance member since 2004, and it uses Lufthansa's frequent-flyer program, Miles & More.
Currently, Adria Airways operates a fleet of 12 airplanes. Two of which are A319's, one A320, one Bombardier CRJ200, one CRJ700 and six CRJ900's. The Bombardier CRJ200 is due to be phased out in 2015. Adria has got one orders: one CRJ900.
In 2013, Adria Airways has transported 1,026,839 passengers in 19,509 flights. The average load factor was 73,16%, up 4,17% compared to 2012. There were only 375 employees left in 2013 from the 719 in 2008. For the past six years, Adria Airways had a net loss.
