Firstly, great job Admin, for the new look website!

Morava airport has some catching up to do. I think that the best bet for LYKV is attracting Austrian, given the fleet (Q400), p2p demand and network connectivity.

Would EUR 3 fee per passenger, same as INI, be sufficiently attractive for Austrian ?

I think fees would be of a lesser importance for Austrian, than for Wizz Air for example. I believe they just want to go for a good long-term destination. And maybe, Morava indeed is. But do you think the demand is big enough? And how many flight a week would be a realistic number?

I think 2 flights per week and three in summer/xmass/easter.
I can see Austrian increasing the number of passengers, both by capturing larger share of existi g traffic from the competition (JU, buses, cars), but also as a result from incremental traffic ( more frequent travellers, new travellers).

They would have eur 14-17 room to play with (compared to BEG) in order to maximise the profits.

What I wonder is what is the cost of operating the airport like LYKV, in order to unserstand what municipalities would have to 'chip' in ?

Yeah, two flights a week sounds reasonable. With Austrian's Q400, that would be around 150 weekly seats each way. The only thing I am not sure of, is the fact whether Austrian ever does do 2 weekly flights to any destination. It seems like they like to have at least 4 weekly flights, and preferably daily.

And about your question regarding airport costs, I must admit and would not be able to give a clear answer. I think it would be a matter of how desperate the airport is for flights...

Two flights is good for a start, but I think it has much greater potential. 150 seats is 3 bus loads.
They could shift mid-day flights from BEG for starters.

I think this is the only way to capture new passengers and pre-empt INI-BTS flights by Wizz or Ryan, which may still happen. I don't see much growth in air passengers between Serbia and Austria in the current set-up. Unless flights start from LYKV or INI , which would stimulate new passengers and/or take share from buses/cars, the situation is not going to change. It is not a growth market, since standard of people in Serbia is not improving.

New local government should work immediately to open LYKV. It could be a pet project for the new mayor of Kragujevac.

Who would be doing the work on starting LYKV ?
From a technical stand point, what is missing ?

Imagine all the connectivity made possible by a single flight. OS could just return the morning flight from BEG straight to LYKV. With potential for 25 connecting flights (including JFK and ORD), this cannot fail. lYKV should give OS the same terms as INI offered to LCCs and they will come. .
